Tools and methods for site characterization

The objective is to have measurement, characterization and simulation methods to provide an accurate description of the physical environment (wind, wave, current, temperature) and the seabed of sites suitable for the installation of MRE farms.

The main challenge is to acquire a better understanding and mastering of the marine environment in order to better select the areas where the farms are to be located, to optimize the overall performance of the machines by improving understanding of interactions between MRE technologies and the marine environment, but also by providing reliable information for a better consideration of environmental impacts.
