COME3T - Phase II

Comittee of experts for offshore renewable energies environmental issues

Duration: 18 months

Context

Throughout the life of offshore renewable energy (ORE) projects, from initial phase of authorisation request to the decommissioning passing by monitoring during operation, the regulatory framework asks to take care about the project potential impacts on environment and marine usage. Numerous questions are arising to stakeholders (State, Regions, developers, engineering firms…) about relevant environmental issues to consider.

Objectives

  • To provide elements of expertise, synthesis and recommendations on the identification of environmental priority issues for the ORE through the establishment of a lead neutral experts committee.
  • To install a national and unique network of experts that can be consulted by all ORE stakeholders.
